This video demonstrates how we put two ( or more ) displays together and calibrate them into one. In the display here, the upper part and the lower part are two different displays with modules from different batches ( different bins ). Originally in the old times of SMD dominating the led display industry, you could never expect that two or more displays from different bins could be calibrated into one. However, benefiting from the advanced technology of COB and the much upgraded calibration tool in these days - C3200, which is believed the most sophisticated moveable calibration equipment in the entire industry. To calibrate two or more displays into one up to eighty percent of what a single-bin display is supposed to be becomes possible.
This capability demonstrates not only the normal calibration service we could provide our clients with, but also a sort of “guarantee” to our clients that in an extreme case something really damaging happens to your display and you do not have enough modules from the same batch to maintain your display in good shape, you do not need to panic. We would be able to use new modules, though they are not from the same batch as your display, to save this case, up to at least 80% of what a normal display is.

Calibration is essential to a COB led display. Without a good calibration, a COB display is not usable. A regular calibration tool for SMD displays is not enough to make a good performance for a COB display. It’s not only slow in the calibration process, but also the outcome performance is not satisfying in a professional’s eyes.
The C3200 that we are using for calibration for products that we supply is the most sophisticated calibration tool in the entire industry. Not only the efficiency is higher, but also the precision, or the outcome performance after calibration is by far much higher.

Enhancement of Features & Capabilities

As one of the best known pioneers of COB products supplier ever since the earliest COB modules came off the manufacture lines, we have long developed all sorts of features & capabilities of COB products we supply, some of them being advanced. As an example, we have made 90°corner displays available to customers. This feature is popular and nothing surprising in the market, but it is in COB products. In this industry, there are only a handful of companies that have this capability, together with quite many other advanced features and capabilities of the products.

Redundancy is a very popular feature for fine pitch products in the “old” SMD times. Therefore nearly every company that supplies fine pitch products could offer this feature as one of the high-end features of the products. But with COB it is different. The major players, for the purpose of standardization for their products, do not make this feature available as it may raise their cost. We are one of the handful companies who offer this feature to our clients when they need it.

Though it’s somewhat ambiguous to a lot of people who are not particularly knowledgeable about colour depth, e.g. 8 bits v.s 16 bits, it does play an important role in your efforts of demonstrating a good image to your viewers. As one of the most advanced & experienced COB pioneer suppliers, we have transplanted all advanced features from SMD products to COB products. One of them, is being able to supply COB products with 16 bits colour processing.

Being one of the few supplying companies of COB displays that have the capability of stocking COB products in Europe, JVE has a large quantity of up-to-date stocks in Europe, from where we deliver the goods to our clients all over Europe and certainly the relative services such as warranty, spare parts provision, sampling support, extra warranty modules, faulty modules pick-up, etc.
As a comparison, customers who choose to order from other suppliers have to wait for 55-60 days by sea, or 25-30 days by air after they place an order. In fact, due to the situation of sea shipment being unstable worldwide, and hence the air freights are always going up, the cost & length of shipment is unpredictable for them.

As an outstanding & professional distributor and service provider in the COB display industry, it is essential to understand the basic concerns of our clients, one of them being “What if we are running out of modules from the same batch?” This is one of the most important questions a supplier needs to have a proper answer for, and we do. There are four levels of services that could help customer with this need out:

1. The number of warranty spare module for each full HD order is 8 piece for a P1.87, as an example, and if the installation team isn’t a very experienced one, it is advised that a bigger number should be reserved depending on how good the installation team is;

2. Usually we prepare some extra modules for most of the orders. Therefore in case customers are running out of maintenance modules, it’s advised that JVE’s staff should be consulted whether there are some extra modules available;

3. We have an agreement with MTC, manufacturer of the COB products, that they will do their best to supply us modules that belong to the same batch, unless they are running out of the same bins. Therefore if point 1 and point 2 don’t work, it’s hopeful that this will work;

4. Finally, we have the “final salvation” measure - we use new modules from a different batch to do the calibration with the old modules together so as to find the best balance. This stands a high chance for restoring the product to at least 80% of its best performance.
